What do you want to validate?

Choose the product type. Upload the datasheet or enter the data by hand.

Pre-validation: estimated results, not a NOM certification or a substitute for the laboratory; the label is only a preview. Terms of use.

NOM-015-ENER-2018

2Upload your datasheet optional

We fill in step 3 with what we read from the document. You can also enter the data by hand.

3Check or enter the data

When you evaluate, the engine cross-checks your data against public listings (DOE, ENERGY STAR and CONUEE) and uses the most precise level they allow: the model itself, its OEM platform or its category band.

Table 2 class

No class chosen yet: answer the questions about the appliance.

One question at a time. Read the standard's description before using a class: the finder narrows the candidates, the final decision is yours. Class descriptions use the product-class wording of 10 CFR 430.32, the source of Table 2; the official text is the Spanish one in NOM-015.

Already know the class? Pick it from the list
Volumes

Choose the class to compute the AV: the adjustment factor depends on the appliance type.

Does your lab report already state the AV? Enter it

If you enter it, it is used instead of the computed one.

Review the plant or laboratory spreadsheet

Upload your plant's or the accredited laboratory's spreadsheet, with tests equivalent to the standard's (.xlsx or .xls, with the "ahorro de energía" sheet). The results it already contains are checked against the standard: worst unit against Emax (9.1.1), declared value against Emax (9.2 a) and worst unit against 1.03 × declared (9.2 b). If the sheet includes the calorimeter readings, the per-day consumption of each test is also recomputed to check the sheet's arithmetic.

Emax calculator (class and AV only)

Computes the limit Emax = a·AV + b for a Table 2 class.

Free-discharge, ductless mini-split and multi-split units with a single-speed compressor, from 1 W to 19 050 W. Inverter units fall under NOM-026.

Compute the REEE from the laboratory readings (8.7)

REEE = PLF(0.5) × EER B, with nominal CD 0.25. If you enter tests C and D the measured CD is also computed (6 min on / 24 min off cycle).

Test B (required)
Test A (optional)
Tests C and D (optional, for the measured CD)

When you validate, the engine estimates the REEE from the most precise data you give: the five test points, SEER/SEER2 and EER/EER2, or the datasheet EER or capacity and power.
